Description: This is an APRIL 1955 black and white glossy PRESS PHOTO (see both pictures) of deceased 1949 NATIONAL AAU WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION and 1948 SAN FRANCISCO GOLDEN GLOVES WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION boxer MAURICE HARPER. He boxed professionally from 1949 through 1957. Sadly, Harper passed away in 2008 at the age of 77. The photo, date stamped April 5, 1955 and approximately 8 inches by 10 inches in size, is clean and intact, exhibiting some wear and creasing from handling and storage over the past 67 years. It would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a wonderful gift for that Maurice Harper enthusiast, boxing historian, or vintage press photo collector in your life!
