CUSTOMIZED Fender Blues DeVille 4x10 Combo CONVERTED to Fit 5E3 DELUXE, Cab Only

The photos that show the cabinet in operational form are for PROOF-OF-FIT REFERENCE only.This is a 2006 Fender Blues DeVille 410 combo cab and was originally covered in tweed. A previous owner turned it into an extension cabinet and mucked up the tweed, and the OEM grille was torn in a couple places. I stripped the tweed, removed the old glue residue, grafted a faceplate to accommodate my 1959 Fender Deluxe amp chassis, then covered it in early '60s style Fender brown tolex. I also removed the original grille cloth then applied a suitable era-matching style. I used 'fancy' bolts to secure the baffle (see pic). Looks good next to the ‘63 Reissue Reverb unit seen in one of the photos. I hand crafted the rear panels out of 1/4" birch plywood because the top panel was replaced by the previous owner and was not available when I bought the cab, and the bottom panel was a bit thinner. They are secured using stainless steel #6 screws and cup washers. The top panel has an aluminum shield attached to help fend off outside electronic interference. New Fender dogbone handle and metal glides (feet) installed for this project. Speaker mounting bolts (16), a nylon power cable tension retainer, and two decorative washers (for the buyer-supplied chassis mounting bolts) are included. If you have a Fender Deluxe Reissue amp, or a clone that has the same dimensions of a tweed Deluxe 5E3 chassis, then it should fit into this cab without modification. I elongated the mounting holes to allow for some play, snugging the chassis against the rear top panel.
