Description: Dated to the late 1800s (estimating 1890s), this Man in the Moon mirror is composed of spelter metal and features a large round (9" diameter) beveled glass mirror. The mirror definitely features wear around the edges, with a small chip at the top of the moon. Nonetheless, the mirror does NOT have any (SCA )sharp edges. The most worn part of the mirror edge rests in the frame. To be blunt: This is a very old mirror and it shows signs of its age! The mirror rests nicely on the original wire easel (which is attached into the foot of the cherub/cupid). It's a beautiful antique piece that deserves the love and attention it once had so many years ago! * Please note that the Alf plush in the main photo does not come with this item. Alf was used as a prop to show reflective condition of mirror. We think he looks pretty good!* Please feel free to ask any questions about the item prior to buying :) (264)
