When he was 10 and showing artistic talent, his teacher encouraged his mother to enroll him in art classes. At the young age of 14, Markus' artworks appeared on public television. Before leaving Budapest, Markus studied sculpting under renowned Hungarian artist Mohacsi Regos Ferenc. In 1978, Markus moved to America, settling in California. Taking inspiration from the Early Renaissance painters such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Raphael, and Sandro Botticelli, the artist would study these great works with a passion. Artist Csaba Markus' distinctive style is showcased through his serigraphs of transcendent women; mortals, muses, and the divine goddess capturing the very essence of sublime beauty. Along with Csaba Markus portraits for sale, the painter has published several books displaying his artwork, including Artist and Muses. He embellishes each of his pieces with dried pigments, ground glass, platinum and 24 carat gold.
