Collectible Vintage Maxwell House Coffee Jar, Anchor Hocking

Description: COLLECTIBLE VINTAGE MAXWELL HOUSE COFFEE JAR This jar originally contained Maxwell House instant coffee. · It is made of clear glass and has a red, plastic top that screws on. (The top is a slightly different shape from many that are listed right now. I've been told that means it is older.) · It measures about 8” tall and has a bottom diameter of about 3”. The top of the lid is also about 3” in diameter. The mouth of the jar is just a little under 3” in diameter and the lid opening is about 3 ¾” in diameter. · The glass jar has the words “MAXWELL HOUSE COFFEE” inside an oval with a coffee pot and sugar bowl at the top and a vine running along each side. At the bottom of the oval is “since 1890” and “good to the last drop”. These words are molded into the glass. · The bottom is stamped with a “7” and a “70” and a small anchor. I believe the anchor means the jar was made by Anchor Hocking and I also think the 70 probably indicates about when I originally bout it as I’m pretty sure it was I the ‘70’s. · There is no label, but there is a line of several white “dots” where the paper label was glued to the jar. There is also a patch of residue glue. · Outside of the above, the glass jar and the plastic lid are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.
