Description: A cracking example of a post-Iron Curtain Soviet Russian Infantryman's forage cap with cloth & metal badges. After the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the resultant pulling down of The Iron Curtain, the market was suddenly flooded with East German & Russian militaria, much of it being sold by former Warsaw Pact soldiers trying to 'earn a buck'... Caps such as these with myriad badges were a firm favourite in that era of change, however in recent years they have begun to disappear from the market but this particularly nice example surfaced recently. Dated 1992, just 3 years after the Wall came down, and a size 58 (but seems smaller) this is a really very good looking example of these caps, with 3 cloth unit arm badges on one side and myriad Soviet cap badges & medals on the other, so making this one of the better such caps we have handled A really cracking example of a surviving post-Cold War, Russian cap.. Thanks for looking..!
