Description: You are bidding on a Civil War Era Pontil Squat Black Glass Ale, Whiskey or Liquor bottle, that was dug out of a well in New Orleans. This is the short fat squat type bottle. We call it black glass, but it is really a very dark green. This bottle is so dark that you can hardly see through it even when held up to the sun light. The bottle has pretty good glass with one small fingernail size dull spot, two or three water drop size dull spots and some of the lip seal residue left on the outer lip edge. The rest of the bottle has an overall good shiny look to the glass. It is approx. 7 3/4" tall and 3" at the base. All of this can be seen in the pictures. Don't miss out on the opportunity to add this historically bottle to your collection. United States shipping only. Buyers will pay USPS Ground Advantage shipping. There are no returns for buyer's remorse. Returns are accepted if not as described.
