These press over the hinge stud that sticks out and the seat backs pivot on. Normally found on bucket seats. Usually not installed if your seat has a plastic cover over the hinge. IMPORTANT -- We have installed this part with no issues. If you are resorting to a hammer to install, probably does not work with your seat... CONDITION: New reproduction - more of a general replacement than a correct reproduction. APPLICATION: 1962 - 74 Chevy II / Nova all models and body styles with front seats that have a fold-down seat back AND DO NOT HAVE A PLASTIC COVER ON THE HINGE. According to the manufacturer also fits numerous other GM cars in the 1962 - 74 period. Always independently verify the part works for your application before purchase.
