Description: Carl Thieme Dresden Hand Painted Watteau Scene Floral & Puce Muffineer Nice antique German porcelain sugar shaker / muffineer with a moulded diamond and floral pattern. Decorated with a hand painted Watteau scene / courting couple scene framed in puce scrollwork on the front of the shaker and top. With hand painted flowers framed in puce scrollwork on the back of the shaker and top. Pink floral finial. Marked on the bottom with a pseudo / spurious Ludwigsburg mark used by Carl Thieme, as shown in the book Dresdner Porzellan by Klaus-Peter Arnold. Has some wear to the puce trim, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 2 1/2 inches wide x 4 7/8 inches tall to the top of the lid finial. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
