It has been worn only a few times and has been well taken care of and kept in a smoke-free home. It is in near-new condition with some indications of wear, especially on the back of the watch, the butterfly clasp and the back buckle, please see photos. Included are the original box, certificate of authenticity and some brief White House facts about our 35th First Lady. JBK can be seen in many photos like the ones I included. This watch is referred to as a Tank Watch. I was told by the shop owner who sold it to me that JBK commissioned it from Cartier based on military watches. She admired the military watches for the unique butterfly fold-over clasp which makes the watch very easy to open and close but keeps it secure. And because of the clasps flatness, it is not clumsy to wear. I was also told that the Quartz movement is made by Seiko, Japan and that the crystals are by Swarovski. The emerald green crystal on the tip of the knob, I was told, is in homage to JFK whose birthstone is an emerald and is a nod to his Irish heritage. The straps are genuine leather with an embossed alligator texture, and are adjustable. This watch is a supremely elegant timepiece that has a truly timeless appeal not to mention its connection to a very elegant First Lady. Before this ships out, I will make sure a new battery is in place so that you can start wearing it!
