Description: This is a rarely seen post World War II era Brown & Sharpe Set of Tools Number 847.All the tools look unused and have only suffered some discoloration and aging from being 75 years old and inside a cloth case. I have taken pictures of all the components of the set and the case. The last picture is from one of Brown & Sharpe catalogs that list the model numbers for the correct tools in the set. They all match, except for the center punch is a "C" instead of a "D". Which would be larger. The 6" scale is the correct model 300, but not sure it is period to the case as they switched from the oval log to a straight line lettered. But, I don't know when that was done. Catalogs sometimes aren't up to date to the products they sell. But it is still an old 300 rule and something you could replace if you want to search for the oval logo model. Case is in remarkably good condition with clear lettering and no broken hold-downs for the tools. These are very hard to find complete and just as hard to replace missing tools. They don't make the 835 Hermaphrodite caliper with a solid tip anymore and the 402 Combination square is really much harder to find than the 400 hardened version.
