Description: For sale is a large hand colored steel engraving by the highly respected and collected British Artists Richard Ansdell (1815 - 1885) and John Phillip (1817 - 1867). Our research tells us that it was probably a collaboration between the two artists. We also see it attribution just to Richard Andell himself. We are unsure. We believe it may be a later reproduced engraving because it is in excellent condition. But it is definitely a steel plate engraving and a wonderful work of art to hang for lovers of British genre scenes.
