Description: ****Title**** *Block of 6 Bolivian Anniversary Stamps, Circa 1953, featuring the 1st Anniversary of the 1952 Revolution/Uprising* ***Brief Description***The stamps are considered 'FINE' by my standards. The margins are offset ever so slightly, but are still visibleThere is an extended bow to the stamp as well, but not too, too bad. There are 'NO' hinge marks present at this time.The overall quality and design aesthetic is outstanding. A rare find, indeed This is also a block of 6 stamps with 'NO' block number present. The colors are bold, the picture is clear and the typography is excellent. A must have for any collector. *As a side note; some of the blocks may have some perforation separation.The stamps, themselves are fine. No hinge marks to report* **Historical Significance**The postal service issued these stamps in 1953 to commemorate the 1st anniversary of the 1952 Bolivian Revolution.The revolution took place when the MNR ousted the ruling military junta that had power in Bolivia at the time.Fighting broke out on April 9th of Easter week, and the MNR seized power three days later. The MNR had some legitimacy as its candidate, Victor Paz Estenssoro won a plurality in Bolivia's 1951 election.He was never allowed to take office, however, which led to the uprising in 1952.These stamps represent a unique part of world history, as it honors the 600 who perished and the freedom they fought to preserve. *For Your Consideration*I’m neither an expert grader nor accomplished philatelist, and my opinions, though justified, may not represent the expertise of a third party grader or certified assistant.
