Description: Offered is my second prototype for a large digit thermometer. The digits are about 3.0" tall. It contains the following components: 1 - Arduino MEGA 2560 1 - EastRising ER-TFTM070-4V2.2 800 x 480 7.0" TFT LCD 1 - EastRising ER-AS-SSD1963 MEGA-compatible shield 1 - MEGA-compatible prototyping shield 1 - DS18B20 One-Wire temperature sensor 1 - 32gb Micro-SD card with bitmaps for the digits This thermomter displays the temperature in degrees Farenheit only; the color of digits changes based on the temperature range: Blue: less than 0.0 Teal: 0.0 - 32.9 Aqua: 33.0 - 65.9 Green: 66.0 - 75.9 Yellow: 76.0 - 85.9 Fuchsia: 86.0 - 95.9 Red: 96.0 or greater The Micro-SD card containing the bitmaps for the digits is in the slot on the top of the EastRising shield. The current version of the software allows up to 4 temperature sensors in parallel, they'll be averaged together for the final display value. It comes with one sensor in the socket; it is recommended to build a remote sensor(s) as the socketed one picks up a lot of heat from the electronics. It has an ambient light sensor for dimming the display brightness in low-light conditions. A thumb drive will be included that contains the photos, software source code, digit bitmap files, EastRising documentation, and instructions on how to create the digit bitmaps. The source code requires Arduino's IDE and EastRising's libraries. Although it works, it is being offered for parts only - no warranty, expressed or implied, is given and no guarentee as to usability or reliability. A 5 VDC AC adaptor will be included with the thermometer. Also, there are no wiring diagrams or technical support of any kind. Buyer pays shipping. 8.0"w x 5.75"h x 5.0"d 1lb 5.2oz
