Description: Bernina 2000DE Serger Unit was tested with an aftermarket pedal. The Machine would speed up and run as expected, but when the pedal was not depressed the machine would still slowly move the needle and feed as if the pedal was lightly pressed. When the pedal was unplugged it would stop. I cannot tell if the issue was the machine or the pedal. The button above the needle would raise and lower the needle as expected. I have not attempted to thread to test the actual ability of the machine to sew. Assume it needs professional servicing and a new pedal. The metal rod in the back is missing the screw that secures it to the machine and some piece of plastic has broken off the top. See pictures for details & condition
