Description: This remarkable CD contains twenty-five rare works by Ludwig van Beethoven of which twenty are World Premiere recordings. These were taken mostly from Beethoven's unpublished sketchbooks. Some were lost works not discovered until recetly. They are beautifully performed by the Covington String Quartet: Greg Pinney, 1st violin; Luke Wedge, 2nd violin; Will Hurd, viola; and Frank McKinster, cello. The featured works are: The "Brilliant" String Quartet, the "Pencarrow" String Quartet, the "Andante Favori" (WoO 57) as a String Quartet and the "Albrechtsberger" Counterpoint Studies.
