It is "Atlas, Designed to Illustrate the Geography of the Heavens" by Elijah H. Burritt. THIS WAS ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED IN 1835. THIS IS A FACSIMILE REPRINT. Reproduced by Janus Publications, Wichita, Kansas, undated, circa 1970. The large folio Atlas contains the following maps or plates: Plan, Exhibiting the Relative Magnitudes, Distances and Positions of the Different Bodies Which Compose the Solar System; The Visible Heavens in January, February and March; The Visible Heavens in October, November and December; The Visible Heavens in April, May and June; The Visible Heavens in July, August and September; The Visible Heavens in the South Polar Regions for Each Month of the Year; The Visible Heavens in the North Polar Regions for Each Month of the Year; and, Planisphere of the Whole Heavens on Mercator's Projection. Included is also a booklet entitled "The Geography of the Heavens" by Elijah H. Burritt which contains selections from Burritt's original text provided to compliment the charts and enhance the appreciation of the Atlas. The outer folder of the Atlas measures 15 1/4 X 17 1/4. The outer folder shows slight expected wear. The maps/platesd are in FINE condition--clean and no significant wear. The booklet is likewise clean and only lightly-worn. The original Burritt Atlas is RARE and selling for $650-$1820 on other internet booksites.
