Description: Antique WOODEN SUGAR BUCKET With Hanging Hook. This late 1800's sap bucket is made from beveled ash staves secured with two metal bands. The bucket is tapered and measures 12" diameter at the top, 10" diameter at the bottom and is 11" tall. Worn red paint covers the exterior of the bucket with gray paint added to the bottom and silver paint on the inside. Condition: There are bumps and bruises commensurate with age. Note a few chips along the top rim. There is some staining and the metal bands have surface rust. Please look carefully at the photos. This is a very durable bucket/measure that was made for hard work at a New England farm. Please look carefully at the photos.
