Description: Original Antique Hanging Light Beautiful RESTORED antique condition! This gorgeous original piece now has freshly updated wiring and is ready for a new life with you. It even has a new porcelain socket. :) The brass has been cleaned and lightly buffed, while keeping the lovely patina. The fixture has 8 caramel slag glass panels in the solid brass pendant. All the glass panels are secure, with no movement. The threaded latch opens and closes well for access to the bulb, and the hinges are working well. No chips or cracks in the glass, no cracks or gouges in the brass. The fixture is working great and uses one standard-base bulb up to 60 watts since it's enclosed, or use an LED bulb for any brightness you like as they use low wattage for bright light. The light bulb and ceiling mount screws are not included. Here are details about the restorer: The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family's burgler alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980's: "Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales". He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #24). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art.
