Gorgeous, vintage, Colonial style dresser salvaged from an old, upscale home in Northeastern PA. It's made of solid mahogany and was made by "Kling" of Mayville, NY (see close ups of stamp and label in drawers). The dresser has 9 dovetailed drawers. Except for the small, top 3 drawers which only have 1 brass pull each; all drawers have 2 brass pulls. The piece is strong and sturdy but does have cosmetic blemishes including nicks and scratches. There are 2 small pieces of veneer that chipped off of the top and there is a small, thin piece of one of the front feet that broke off (see 2nd to last photo). There are also some light spots of paint (see last photo) which could be removed with some mineral spirits. Some buffing and waxing should take out and conceal most nicks and scratches. Considering that the piece is 70 - 80 years old, the aforementioned blemishes are normal wear. There are no deep scratches, gouges, dents, cracks, etc. Our carpenter inspected the piece and said that it's built like a rock and in great shape. Usually one or two drawers need at least some tightening, but he said that they are all tight, and slide and in and out with ease. Salvaged from a clean, home, free of pets and smoking. The dresser has no odors.
