It has a 5-petal scalloped shape with slightly textured wells, most likely intended to be used as an oyster plate. Measures approximately 8 inches in diameter. The CFH/GDM mark on porcelain indicates that the piece was made by Charles Field Haviland and Gerard Dufraisseix & Morel in Limoges, France. This mark was used from 1882 to 1891.
