Description: This neat oil portrait on canvas is of a well dressed Rococo era gentleman and is on the larger end of Miniatures, Austrian or German in origin. I love portraits like this that are a bit out of proportion…his head is a touch larger! The sitter is identified verso. Overall it is in very good condition for age and the painting has been restored: relined, cleaned, scattered in painting. There is some light toning, craquelure, a few surface marks, etc. It is housed in a period antique wood frame which is in very good condition with a few small areas of wear/loss.
