Description: Store Item: Antique English Early 19th Century Federal Mahogany Tall Case Grandfather Clock Description: Fine example of a Early 19th Century English Eight Day Tall Case Clock. Whale Tail bonnet with inlays, two outer urn shaped brass finials and a centered eagle brass final, arched glazed dial door flanked by columns. Feltham signed original painted iron dial with Roman dial numerals, four spandrel areas decorated with floral designs. A painted eagle in the arch of the dial with tempus fugit painted above the eagle. Shaped waist with Tombstone shaped Satinwood Door string inlays resting on base with ogee bracket feet. Clock includes weights, pendulum, key and winder. Condition Report: Good Overall appearance. Face has original paint and moon dial, face has some paint flaks and yellowing of the dial, case has some age splits, scuffs and scratches, finials more than likely not original, The clock has not been tested and we do not guarantee the working conditions of clocks and highly recommend hiring a professional clock person to clean, service and install the clock after delivery.
