The first examples were 7 layer beads and later approximately in the 1700's were manufactured in the much more common 6 layer beads. Some were 4 layer. They are blown glassand shaped by grinding into the wonderful shapes we see today. Several countries make chevron beads but beads such as India Chevrons typically do not have the sharp points in the star layers. T&T has an extensive collection of these beads collected over 35 years. Beads with more than small flaws will have these listed. Our prices are excellent and should be compared for other Top Quality Collector Beads. Always make sure the size is listed as pictures can make things appear much larger than they are.
