Description: 1800s Child's Doll Size Mahogany 3 Drawer - Chest of Drawers - Brass Drawer Pulls This heirloom Chest of Drawers has been played with and loved by three generations of daughters. The Chest of Drawers belonged to my Grandmother, Ellen House Fletcher Barnes, who was born on October 27th, 1877, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Grandmother Ellen was an expert seamstress who specialized in wedding dresses and Ball Gowns and was renowned for her skill in hand-beading. She passed her talent on to her two daughters. So it's easy to imagine that this chest was filled with handmade doll clothes, crafted from scraps of fabric and lace from their mother's creations. The Chest of Drawers is in good pre-loved and played with condition. * The top has a few scratches * Back right side has been repaired * The botton brass knob is slightly smaller * One of the round legs has a piece missing * The bottom of the top and third drawer has been repaired * Drawers do not fit as snug as they use to * Second and third drawers show more wear than the first drawer * Right front and back corner show wear 8" Tall 9" Wide 5 " Deep ***** Please refer to the photos for more details in reference to the condition of this well loved and cherished heirloom ***** If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
