Description: For sale today is the classic and essential Marvel Comics trade paperback (tpb)/graphic novel The Amazing Spider-Man: Origin of the Hobgoblin by Tom Defalco and Roger Stone, published in 1992. It is the rare first printing edition. Collects Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 1) #238-239, 244-245, and 249-251 and Spectacular Spider-Man (Vol. 1) #85. I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This copy is in very good condition, especially considering its age, with a solid spine and great/bright inside pages with minimal natural yellowing (photo#11 example). It has few and lesser signs of primarily external wear. **Photo#3:-Spine edge: Tiny pinhead ding near its middle. **Photo#4: -Upper spine corner: Light scuffing, small indent at // ~1/2" indent around where it meets front cover. **Photo#5: -Lower spine corner: Light scuffing. **Photo#6: -Front cover top edge: Little if any shelf-scuffing/wear.-Outer corner: Tiny scuff/bend, goes thru ~6 pages lightly. **Photo#7:-Front cover bottom edge: Little if any shelf-scuffing/wear.-Outer corner: Small indent/scuff/bend, goes thru ~1/3 pages as a tiny indent/bend. **Photo#8: -Back cover top edge: Little if any shelf-scuffing/wear.-Outer corner: Cover has minimal wear. ~15 pages have a tiny scuff/bend. **Photo#9:-Back cover bottom edge: Little if any shelf-scuffing/wear.-Outer corner: Cover has minimal wear. ~15 pages have a tiny scuff/bend. **Additionally: Back cover possesses ~4 small depressions near the spine edge's middle (photo#10 w/illumination). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit.
