Description: Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 DESCRIPTION This is an absolutely stunning formal gown that was made in the USA by Alvina Valenta Maids. The dress was designed to be a bridesmaid dress, but I could also see it being worn as a prom gown. The dress is made out of a shiny polyester taffeta that is a light purple color, and it is fully lined in acetate. Around the hem, there is a band of white pleated tulle. The dress has a high empire waist, and there are pleated accents around the waist. The dress is strapless with boning for support, and it has a mermaid style to it. The dress closes with a zipper down the back. SIZING The tag labels this a size 10, and I believe this is a bridal size, because the cut is definitely smaller than a regular size 10. My mannequin is a size 2 with a 32 inch bust, and this dress was only a little roomy on her. I think this dress is probably similar to a regular dress size 4 (Small). The actual measurements are as follows: Bust: 17 inches across, underarm to underarm (34 inches around. I took this measurement with the material pulled taught.) Empire Waist: 13.5 inches across (27 inches around) Hips: 18.5 inches across (37 inches around) Length: 49.5 inches from the top of the bodice to the hem Note: These are the actual measurements of the garment, so please leave yourself room for comfort of movement. All measurements were taken with the item laying flat. The flat measurements were doubled to give an approximate measurement around. CONDITION This dress is in excellent used condition.
