Description: 8 Original production pages from the book, Al Jaffee Goes Bananas (1981). Here was see a complacent looking man giving out candy on Halloween until he gives candy to a real witch who he waves to as she flies away. What just happened does not register until he walks back into his house, at which point he decides to stop answering his door for trick or treaters. Pages consists of pasted photostats and hand drawn marker. An onion skill overlay with red marker created the shading on seven of the printed pages. Art is dated 10-28-62. It was originally created to be published in a newspaper for Halloween in 1962, and then was reprinted in the 1981 book. Al Jaffee is the creator of the Mad Fold-in and is one of the most beloved of Mad Magazine artists. With 65 years at Mad Magazine, he is also the longest running contributor. He passed away at age 102 in April 2023. Art measures 6" x 10" each and is in very good condition. The copy of Al Jaffee Goes Bananas is included.
