No acid dipping to polish this cut glass pitcher. Being no makers mark, we can only do research. From our library of ABP Cut Glass books and online research, we have not be able to attribute this to one maker. The Buzz motif started to appear at the turn of the Century. The manufacture T. B Clark and Company is credited with this pinwheel design, although Patrick H. Healy secured a patent on a pinwheel for the American Cut Glass company on February 28, 1899. This pinwheel is twelve miters coming off a hobstar center of twelve points. The miters are separated by three point fans. This pinwheel or Buzz Saw have been used by other manufactures such as J. D. Bergen in their GOLF, NEVADA patterns; Averbeck in their ROME, GEORGIA, SARATOGA, FRISCO patterns; Pitkins & Brooks in their RUTH, CARRIE, METROPOLE, WINFIELD, BELMONT, TOPAZ and ORO patterns.
