To view the others from this collection simply search my store for the words " Cornely lace " This texitle is from France and dates form the late 1800's to early 1900's ~ C1900 a beautiful whitework hand embroidered cornelli lace work Chateau window length Curtain.Entirely hand stitched onto a fine Indian muslin ground and hand embroidered in cotton with trailing floral motifs worked in chain stitch. I love the many patterns these reveal~ This textile is elegant and rare ~ These curtains were highly popular in France in the 19th and early 20th century. Because they are so light , they do not often survive without signs of time and use ~ MEASUREMENTS : This lovely lace curtain panel measures approximately 63 inches long by 30inches wide at the bottom. The top where it is gathered measures approximately 12 inches across ~ CONDITION ~ this textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There are a few pale marks Please use the zoom feature on the photographs to view exactly ~ There are LOVELY hand mends on this piece.
