Description: 60s 1964 Cleveland Era No 4160 Rogers Powertone COB 14” x 5” Snare Drum Desirable, early serial number # 4160 which dates this to around 1964. Ink “F” in the upper left on the Cleveland Powertone Made in USA by Rogers paper sticker tag stands for Frank Walter Senior. According to Anthony Amodeo’s YouTube video, Frank was one of the premier assemblers at the Covington plant. 5" x 14" COB shell (magnet doesn’t stick). 8 Beavertail lugs. Hoops are steel. Top hoop is aftermarket. Bottom hoop may be original, it has a 7 digit number etched in it. Most of the tension rods look aftermarket. Bearing edges look good. Shows wear from use. A few unexplained small dimples in the finish. Used heads but it sounds good so left alone. Tone control adjusts fine. Sounds great. Please refer to the photos which are considered a part of the description.
