Description: 4140 Hot Rolled Steel Bar Round Stock Annealed 1 1/2" OD x ~6 1/2” - Single Piece. These are manufacturing drops. There may be slight variation in length. Steel from USA. Weighs around 4 pounds. Some rust, but in decent shape. Lathe or saw cut. Hot rolled and annealed, meaning that it is as soft as you can make it for machinability. Can be easily heat treated. Otherwise, they have an excellent strength to weight ratio and are considerably stronger and harder than standard 1020 steel. 4140 steel rounds are perfect for small projects. Can be machined or welded or forged. Due to material handling and processing items may have light scratching. Raw Material is not meant to have a finished cosmetic look. Combined Shipping: We do offer combined shipping if you purchase multiple pieces at the same time. Due to the size and weight differences of each piece, shipping for combined orders is adjusted for any difference as a shipping discount refund after your order ships, once we can determine what box is required and the total weight. Total combined weight of 20 pounds or more, or length exceeding 12 inches may require two or more boxes. In most cases with combined orders, we will try to take advantage of USPS flat rate box shipping. Shipping: Orders are generally shipped via USPS.
