Each card was made from a 4x5 glass negative of baseball's premier photographer - Charles Martin Conlon. In addition to the Conlon photographic artistry, the biographical information written by Paul Mac Farlane (longtime historian at The Sporting News) on the card backs makes this card among the *finest* ever made. Each card provides a perceptive insight to the player and baseball of his time. Seldom offered as a set and scarcely seen for sale singly, only 12,000 complete sets were issued.
