Measurements are in inches unless otherwise stated: #24-128, 1890's Black Silk & Soutache Caplet - Halloween Event: This caplet was created out of black silk and trims in the 1890's. It's front length is 25 inches from neckline to them. It is 85 inches around the bottom of the cape. It was created this way to fit over the large sleeves of its period. It was made by T. A. Chapman, Milwaukee. The outer shell of the garment is in good shape but, is dusty and has spots and needs brushing. The trims have turned brown with age. The lining has some splitting. What a great piece to use as part of a Halloween party event. Use it for decoration or wear it if you don't mind its vintage patina.
