Description: 2 Antique SEED COMPANY MAILING ENVELOPES-BURPEE & JAMES GREGORY & SON-ca. 1900 This pair of antique mailing envelopes features the Burpee and James J. H. Gregory & Son seed companies from around 1900. The envelopes are a classic example of early 20th century advertising and are in their original, unused form. They were purchased many years ago at an estate sale at an old Mississippi plantation. The envelopes have discolored a bit from age and the Gregory envelope has light marks on the front. These envelopes were manufactured in the United States and are a rare find for anyone interested in the history of seed and feed companies and collectors of agriculture-related items.
