The first signature combination of the design, France issued this type from 1980 until 1997. The early ones did not yet have the security thread. The note pictures the famous classical music composer Claude Debussy. His most famous composition "La Mer" or "The Sea" is represented by the ocean background. Debussy lived from 1862 until 1918.
