Description: 1980s SANWA SPORT 12-SPEED VINTAGE ROAD BIKE JAPAN RACING CHAMPION 10 80S Click Photos to Enlarge Description Here is an original 1980s VINTAGE (I did not see the serial number) SANWA SPORT 12-SPEED road bike with 27" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing colored 1980s AQUA BLUE factory paint with original decals. If you like good quality vintage Japan built road bikes, this may be a great bike for you. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike! *This bike has butted tubing road bike frame and forks with original paint and decals, 3-piece cranks, upgraded adjustable neck, drop style handlebars, twin stick shifters, Shimano Tourney derailleur, upgraded ARS soft comfortable road bike seat/saddle, rat trap pedals, and more! *This one was purchased new in the 1980s at a local bike shop! (not a box store) The bike was owned by a sweet local lady who would like to see it go to a good home! You rarely see them in any condition. I still have mine from when I was about 11 years old and still have it! *THIS BIKE LOOKS PURE LATER 1980s! It looks like something one of the girls would ride or be used as a prop on "Saved by the Bell!" *The tires are 27x 11/4". They are vintage tires and do hold air. (they look to be newer replacement tires with low miles but have been on the bike for a while) The bike has chrome wheels front and rear. *The bike is an original 12-SPEED and the gears do operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (may need adjustment or possible cable replacement) *DIMENSIONS The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 30 1/2". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 20". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 21". The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. *NOTED FLAWS This is one of the more unique survivor type bikes from the 1980s I have ever seen! (see pics and be your own judge) The paint looks respectable for a 35+ year old bike! (has chips etc but has survived better than some) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) A unique better quality road bike at a great price! If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach.
