Step one was strippingeverything down. The old framewas used for a lampstand, and a1967 frame was picked up.The rear swingarm and shocksgot junked, and a hardtail wasadded to the bike. This gives theframe almost the appearance of a’55-’57 straight-leg frame, thatsuper-rarity of custom items.A flat fender and fatbob tankswere added to the pile, and thewhole shot trucked off toCreations in Color for (what else?)color. They also did a clean-upmold before the gloss black paintjob went in place. The purpleflames (gaak) were added afterScarber sold the bike to a friend.All parts for plating went toLustrechrome, one of thelong-time bike plating shops in the
