1968 Design Award! VTG Coach Bonnie Cashin Harness Leather Duffle Feed Bag NWT

Description: Most incredible and EXTREMELY RARE, this is the original harness leather bag that won Bonnie Cashin the Design Award in 1968 and the original hang tag award ribbon is still attached to the bag!! I’ve had this in my collection for over 30 years. I’ve sold on eBay for 25 years, I’ve never seen anyone offer an original Coach Cashin with this Design Award ribbon still attached! It also has the original harness leather card that came with each Coach harness leather bag produced in the 1960’s. This bag has the first Coach name plate inside. This bag is lined with the famous cotton madras striped fabric. Please see all photos. There is a zippered pocket on one side, zipper still works but it’s a very old metal zipper and the fabric is very much formed to the shape of the bag. The zippered pocket does open and you can use it if you want but the person buying this fantastic museum quality bag really should not use it, it’s truly a display piece! There is also another pocket on the other side. It is a slip pocket with a leather trim at the top. The top handle is the famous harness leather Coach used and it’s secured by two brass rings, one on each side of the bag. There are brass feet on the bottom to protect the bag when you set it down. This bag is in near mint condition especially for its age! This bag is 56 years old!There are a few very very tiny specs where the color has flaked off the leather, barely visible but you can see them with camera flash. I did not try to condition the bag with leather cleaner because it WILL cover any imperfections and I wanted the buyer to see them. These can very easily be covered with leather conditioner or leather color dye. It will make it look brand new! Please review all the photos as they become an integral part of the description. This bag will not ship thru eBay because it will be fully insured and it will require a signature confirmation. I will be using UPS Ground due to the insured value of the bag.
