DESCRIPTION: Original Vietnam War era U.S. aircrew bailout survival kit. Nuckley Covers Corp. OD canvas bag with original contents. The zipper retains its original steel wire with lead seal intact. The seal appears to have a backwards "10" on one side, blank on the other. Markings: "US - Survival Kit - Cold Climate - Nuckley Covers Corp. - Mfd. 6/66 - 8465-082-2512"; stencil "14". The pocket near the handle is empty. Dated 1966. CONDITION: I cannot speak to the condition of the contents. The exterior is in excellent original condition. No damage. No significant wear. No corrosion. No oxidation to speak of. No tears, splits, holes, rips. Clean as found. No stains, discolorations. No evidence of moisture, leakage, etc. No unpleasant odors. From a non smoking home. Some very light storage related wear: scattered rubs to the canvas.
