DESCRIPTION I RARELY indicate in a listing that I disagree with the grade of a card (although I may have a different opinion) but in this case, it's warranted. The grader must not have been having a good day. Details on card: General appearance of the card is that of a PSA 3/4. When compared to other PSA 1's (even those used as examples on the PSA site), the grade doesn't match the details. First off, I can see where the card would definitely be graded a PSA 2, but no lower. Card has several creases on obverse and reverse. One moderate crease extending from top border above Mantle's hands diagonally downward through base of neck, bottom of sleeve, the "n" in "Mantle" to the bottom border. A couple of other light creases in bottom right quadrant as well, running the same direction as the moderate one. Reverse has a couple of minor creases not visible on the front. No creases impacting Mantle's face. I can see the PSA 1 grade IF there were a pinhole, but there isn't one. No paper loss. No severely rounded corners. No missing pieces of the card. Card is nicely centered as a bonus. Compare to other PSA 1, PSA 2, and even PSA 3 cards to see if you don't agree regarding the overall appearance of the card. Definitely a "High end of grade" card (understatement). Card is priced appropriately for the overall quality of card.
