Description: 1953 D Lincoln Wheat Cent 1¢ Penny - There is so much to describe on this example! What looks like strike through grease on the obverse, almost no L and little of the I in liberty fully struck, the last digit of the date is obscure Microscope zoom shows it to be 3. A silhouette or halo type doubling likely from strike through, over Lincolns head and back. The reverse is well struck and nicely toned. ONW CENT also show the silhouette or halo type. (zoom to see clearly!) Opinions vary on on what if any official designation this would receive. Either way, a absolutely attractive colorful toned example. A great addition to any Lincoln Wheat collection. This coin has not been cleaned from our examination or artificially toned - there is a tad of some substance on Lincoln's profile, (full disclosure)
