A Word About Pictures And Grading I often include more than one picture in my auctions. The answer is two-fold and simple. I, like many of you have bought coins on eBay and been horribly disappointed because the picture did not really represent the coin correctly. The picture had either been enhanced, or edited or was sometimes not the coin in the picture at all. Knowing how I felt when that happened, I wanted no-one to ever feel that way about a coin they would purchase from me. To that end, rest assured that the coin in the picture is always the coin you will receive. I do not edit, enhance or otherwise distort the picture to sell the coin. Actually, because no coin is perfect (or I’d be selling $1000 coins instead of $100 dollar coins), I make no effort to hide the contact marks whatsoever. Most uncirculated coins have contact marks and rub marks to some extent from bags or rolls they’ve been stored in. Most of the time they are not visible to the eye. Yet, I don’t want you to be disappointed with the coin you get so I try and make sure you will see it with all its flaws prior to your bidding even if the picture exaggerates it. Grading is subjective so I only offer my opinion based on other coins that I own that are slabbed by PCGS and NGC. The second reason I include more than one picture is simple. I’m not a professional photographer. If you read my feedback you’ll see that many times when someone purchases a coin they are quite pleasantly surprised because my photography didn’t show the beauty of the coin. Good luck with your bid. I am not a professional grader by any means, nor do I hold myself out to be one.... nor does this industry have ANY STANDARDS that one needs to meet to become a professional grader/opinion giver. Any grades that I offer are strictly opinions. Sometimes this opinion is based on what I purchased the coin as. Sometimes this opinion is based on local coin dealers opinions. Many times the opinion is based on comparison with slabbed coins that I have from PCGS and NGC. Most important is that you realize that ALL GRADING is a subjective opinion and can and WILL vary from person to person, and grading service to grading service, and, sometimes WITHIN a grading service as well. Try putting 5/6 slabbed coins from the SAME GRADING SERVICE together and you'll see what I mean. You can submit the same coin to a grading service three times and three times get a different "opinion/grade". The ultimate decision on the grade of the coin is what YOU decide it's worth to you, which is why I submit as many pictures as I do to help you in that decision. The ultimate decision on grade belongs to you with the bid you offer. I offer only my subjective opinion. 1953 A $2 CU/GEM CU RED SEAL UNITED STATES 3 CONSECUTIVE NOTES
