Description: 1950s Doepke Model Toys Euclid Earth Mover Truck Wonderful find this beautiful bright orange Earth Mover Toy Truck made by Charles Wm. Doepke Model Toys of Rossmoyne, Ohio. This is when toys were made to last, made of stamped sheet metal with Goodyear Rubber Tires. The Doepke Toy Company was well known for making realistic working toys. This heavy-duty earth mover is 28” long and weighs nearly 8 pounds. It is a two-piece truck and trailer which swivels in the middle, the steering wheel turns the front tires and there is a lever to open the belly of the trailer for dumping the dirt. Overall condition is wonderful for its age, the rubber tires are excellent and pliable, the paint has scuffs and loss from use there are no visible dents or damage, the rubber exhaust pipe is not the original was replaced at some point. History, In 1946, Charles W. Doepke and brother Frederick started the Doepke Toy Company. In 1959, due to an increase in lower-cost competitors and a rise in steel costs, Doepke was forced to shut down. Circa, 1950s Measures, 28” long, 7” wide, 6½” tall.
