Description: For more info and many additional high-resolution photos, visit dcsax.com! 1940 Conn 30M tenor saxophone, s/n 291226. Conn made very few 30M saxophones. They had to be specially ordered, and about 1 out of every hundred 10M's made were the artist model 30M. This is a prewar horn that has rolled tone holes. The sax just received a full repad from the previous owner. The pads are in new/unused condition. My repairman just serviced the horn making sure that the pads are sealing well from top to bottom. Interestingly, he thinks the bow may be a factory replacement put on at a later time. The tone holes on the bow (Eb, C and C#) don't have rolled tone holes. It's still a Conn part, so the tone and feel is essentially the same as an original bow. Like many horns of its era, this one does not have the original finish. This is a great sounding Conn. The sound is warm, dark and resonant, and can easily fill up a room. US buyers are free to return the sax for any reason, provided you pay shipping and insurance both ways. The sax must be returned in its original condition.
