Description: 1924 Vintage Press Photo by WIDE WORLD PHOTOS.Arne Borg, holder of the world mile record and European swimming champion, on the beach at Waikiki, Hawaiian Islands, whiter he went from Australia to compete in a harbor meet.On the left is Helen Moses and on the right with "M" on her suit is Mariechen Wehselau, both of whom will be on the Hawaiian swimming team at the New York trials in June. In Australia Borg lost three races to Andrew Charlton; on his way home he will pass through the United States, possibly taking part in several meets during his trip. Photo is Dated: April 23, 1924.
