Description: OK, Dad was the numismatist, so I am going (pretty much completely) on what the Numista website gives for descriptions of the coins being listed. Here goes: This is a single, 10 Para coin from Constantinople, Ottoman Empire (modern day Istanbul, Turkiye.)The date is somewhere between 1900-1904 (originally, I thought the date translated to 1876, but not sure. Arabic numbers look like it would be 1293)The front shows Toughra "el-Ghazi" to the right with the regnal year below (I can only see a symbol for "0"). The Islamic wording translates to "10 Para, Abdulhamid II"The back shows ta star above the denomination (which translates to "10". The Arabic inscription within the crescent moon translates to "May he be victorious". KM #744Silver (0.1). Unsure the rest of the composition2.0046 gm18 mm diameter x 1 mm thickedge is plaincondition is fair to very good at best with both sides showing wearmint-would have been Constantinople I am listing these coins to mail via E-Bay shipping, however, if the sale price rises above $20, then USPS ground shipping will be used and the cost will be higher. I have tried to describe any issues with this item as much as possible. I can post additional photos upon request and will try to answer any questions you might have that weren't addressed above. If you want to purchase more than one item, let me know and I will wait until your purchases are complete, then I will send a single invoice with one shipping charge.
