While researching this ring to identify it ect it caught the attention of world renounced scarab expert Dr Bron Lipkin. He graciously identified it for me via email and transcribed the hieroglyphics on the back. See pictures. This email will be part of the sale. According to Dr. Bron Lipkin The scarab according to the hieroglyphics is 18 th Dynasty King Tut the third era. The hieroglyphs reads: Men Kheper Re, (within the oval cartouche shape) " emanation of Amen". He said it was set in the ring much later in the early 1900s Victorian era. I am estimating the ring at size 8.5 but please see the pictures yourself. Total weight 6 grams. Ships promptly and securely with insurance.
