This is a lot of 52 different issues of The Academy: A Weekly Review of Literature, Science, and Art magazine from 1887. This is a complete year. These magazines were published in London. This lot of magazines features great articles, information, and some small ads. This lot of magazines is in overall poor to fair condition showing wear due to age. Most of these issues are ok and there are some that are very bad. The pages of these magazines are very dry and are very fragile. These magazines are subject to heavy flaking and paper loss. Some of the front covers and the back covers of these issues are detached. Some of the front covers of these issues have library stamps near the top.
