Description: Offered here is a 1868-S Seated Liberty Half Dollar, a coin that PCGS looked over and believes it was cleaned in the past. Extra Fine Grade detail is stated on the holder. Looking over this nice coin I agree with the Extra Fine Grade. I would grade this coin XF40. There is "circulation dirt" in the devices, and in some of the lettering. I do not see any hairlines. So, if there was a "cleaning" wouldn't there be NO circulation dirt on the coin? Otherwise why bother. LOL. Isn't it the case that the seller/owner always likes his coin a little nicer than the buyer? LOL. Same goes for the "unbiased" grading services too. This is a nice coin.
